Losing access to your streams is frustrating, but the fix is usually quick. Whether you forgot your password, want to change it for security, or need to update the login details inside your player app, this guide walks you through it step by step. No technical skills required.
Let's get you back to watching.
Understanding Your AbyssTV Login Details
Before you reset anything, it helps to know that your AbyssTV subscription actually uses two different sets of credentials, and people often mix them up.
- Your account login. This is the email and password you use to sign in to your AbyssTV account page to manage billing, renewals, and your subscription.
- Your streaming credentials. These are the M3U URL / username & password from your AbyssTV welcome email. Your player app (TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, and so on) uses these to actually load your channels.
Knowing which one you need to reset saves a lot of time, so identify the problem first: can't get into your account page, or can't load your channels?
Note: Resetting your account password does not change your streaming credentials, and vice versa. They are separate.
How to Reset Your AbyssTV Account Password
Use this if you can't sign in to your account page to manage billing or view your details.
- Go to the AbyssTV login page and click Forgot password? below the sign-in box.
- Enter the email address you used when you subscribed to AbyssTV.
- Check your inbox for a password reset email. It usually arrives within a couple of minutes.
- Click the link in that email and choose a new, strong password.
- Sign back in with your email and your new password.
Tip: If the reset email hasn't arrived, check your spam or junk folder and search for "AbyssTV." Adding our address to your contacts helps future emails land in your inbox.
If you no longer have access to the email address on your account, don't try to create a second subscription. Contact our support team and we'll help you recover the original account safely.
How to Change or Reset Your Streaming Credentials
Your streaming username and password are what your player app uses to load channels. You might want to reset these if you think someone else has your details, if you're seeing "connection" or "authorization" errors, or if you simply want a fresh set for security.
Because these credentials are tied to your subscription, they are issued and refreshed by AbyssTV rather than something you type in yourself. Here's how to get a new set:
- Sign in to your AbyssTV account page.
- Open the My Subscription or My Line section, where your active service is listed.
- Look for the option to reset or regenerate your streaming credentials. If you don't see it, contact support and we'll refresh them for you.
- Once reset, your new M3U URL / username & password will be shown on screen and emailed to you.
- Update your player app with the new details (see the next section).
Note: When you reset your streaming credentials, the old ones stop working immediately. You'll need to update every device you watch on, so it's best to do this when you have a few minutes to spare.
Updating the New Login in Your Player App
After a reset, your app is still trying to use the old details, so you'll need to enter the new ones. The steps are similar across popular apps like TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, and others.
TiviMate
- Open TiviMate and go to Settings.
- Select Playlists, then choose your existing AbyssTV playlist.
- Delete it, then add a new playlist using the M3U URL / username & password from your AbyssTV welcome email.
- Let the channels reload, and you're set.
IPTV Smarters / IPTV Smarters Pro
- Open the app and, if prompted, remove the old user or profile.
- Choose Login with Xtream Codes API or Login with M3U URL.
- Enter your new username, password, and server URL (or paste the full M3U URL).
- Tap Add User and wait for your channel list to load.
Firestick, Android, Smart TV, Apple TV, and MAG
The idea is the same on every device: find where your current playlist or login is stored, remove it, and add your new AbyssTV details in its place. On a MAG box, you may need to update the portal URL in the box's settings and restart it.
Tip: Copy your M3U URL directly from the welcome email rather than typing it out. A single wrong character is the most common reason a login "fails" after a reset.
Common Issues After Resetting
A few quick checks solve most problems:
- Channels won't load. Double-check that you entered the newest credentials, not an older set from a previous email.
- "Authorization" or "expired" message. Confirm your AbyssTV subscription is active and paid up on your account page.
- Only one device works. Remember that resetting credentials logs out every device. Update each one with the new details.
- App still shows old channels. Fully close and reopen the app, or restart the device, to clear the cache.
