How to Set Up IPTV on TiviMate (Best Player Guide)

A simple step-by-step guide to setting up your AbyssTV subscription on TiviMate, the best IPTV player for Firestick and Android TV.

TiviMate is widely regarded as the best IPTV player available, and it pairs beautifully with your AbyssTV subscription. With its slick channel guide, smooth playback, and easy-to-use interface, it turns 17,000+ live channels and a full 4K VOD library into a premium living-room experience.

This guide walks you through the complete IPTV TiviMate setup from start to finish. It takes about five minutes, and you don't need to be tech-savvy to follow along.

What You'll Need Before You Start

Setting up is quick when you have everything ready. Grab these first:

  • A compatible device: Amazon Firestick, Fire TV, Android TV box, NVIDIA Shield, or an Android phone/tablet.
  • The M3U URL / username & password from your AbyssTV welcome email. These are your login credentials, so keep that email handy.
  • A stable internet connection (a wired connection or strong Wi-Fi gives the smoothest 4K playback).

Note: TiviMate works on Android-based devices. If you're using an Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, or MAG box, TiviMate isn't available there. Reach out to AbyssTV support and we'll point you to the best player for your device.

Step 1: Install TiviMate on Your Device

First, let's get the app onto your device.

  1. From your home screen, open the app store (the Amazon Appstore on Firestick, or the Google Play Store on Android TV).
  2. Search for TiviMate IPTV Player.
  3. Select the app and choose Download or Install.
  4. Once it finishes installing, open TiviMate.

That's it, the app is ready. TiviMate offers a free version and an optional Premium upgrade. The free version is enough to get your AbyssTV subscription running, though Premium unlocks extras like multiple playlists and recording.

Step 2: Add Your AbyssTV Playlist

Now we'll connect the app to your subscription.

  1. When TiviMate opens for the first time, select Add playlist.
  2. Choose Enter URL (sometimes shown as M3U Playlist).
  3. In the URL box, carefully type the M3U URL from your AbyssTV welcome email. Take your time here, one wrong character will stop it from connecting.
  4. Select Next to continue.

Tip: Typing a long URL with a remote is fiddly. To save time, open your welcome email on your phone, then use the copy-and-paste feature or a Bluetooth keyboard to enter the details without errors.

Step 3: Enter Your Login Details

Depending on how your playlist is set up, TiviMate may ask for your username and password separately.

  1. If prompted, enter the username exactly as it appears in your welcome email.
  2. Enter the password in the same way.
  3. Give your playlist a name you'll recognise, such as "AbyssTV".
  4. Select Next.

TiviMate will now connect to AbyssTV and start loading your channels. This usually takes a few moments.

Step 4: Let Your Channels and Guide Load

Once connected, TiviMate downloads your full channel list and the electronic program guide (EPG), which shows you what's on now and next.

  1. Wait for the channel list to finish importing. With thousands of channels, this can take a minute or two the first time.
  2. If you're asked whether to include an EPG, choose Yes so you get the full TV guide.
  3. When it's done, you'll land on the main screen with your channels ready to go.

Note: The first load is the slowest because everything is being set up. After this, TiviMate opens straight to your channels every time.

Step 5: Start Watching

You're all set. Here's how to get around:

  1. Press the left arrow or menu button on your remote to open the channel guide.
  2. Browse categories like Sports, Movies, News, and Entertainment.
  3. Highlight any channel and press OK to start streaming.
  4. To explore the 4K VOD library, open the menu and look for the movies and series sections.

Enjoy your AbyssTV subscription with the smoothest player in the business.

Getting the Best Picture Quality

A few small tweaks help you get the most from your 4K channels and VOD:

  • Use a wired ethernet connection where possible, or sit close to your router.
  • In TiviMate's settings, you can adjust the buffer if you ever notice stutter on a busy network.
  • Restart your device now and then to keep it running smoothly, just like any streaming app.

Still Stuck? We're Here to Help

Most setup hiccups come down to one of these:

  • "Invalid link" or nothing loads: Double-check the M3U URL, username, and password against your welcome email. A single mistyped character is the usual culprit.
  • Channels load but won't play: Test your internet speed and try a different channel. If one channel is down, others will still work.
  • Buffering: Switch to a wired connection or move closer to your router, and close other apps using bandwidth.
  • Can't find your welcome email: Check your spam or promotions folder for your AbyssTV credentials.
