How to Set Up IPTV on OTT Navigator (Android TV & Firestick)

A step-by-step guide to adding your AbyssTV subscription to OTT Navigator on Android TV, Firestick and Android phones.

OTT Navigator is one of the most capable IPTV players for Android. It is fast, it handles very large channel lists without slowing down, and it has features that fans love: filters by genre and country, a detailed programme guide, catch-up where a channel supports it, and picture-in-picture. If you like to tune every detail of how your TV looks, this is the app for you.

This OTT Navigator IPTV setup guide shows you how to add your AbyssTV subscription. It takes about five minutes.

Before You Start

You'll need:

  1. Your AbyssTV login details — the server address, username and password (or the M3U link) from your welcome email. They are also shown when you sign in to your AbyssTV account.
  2. An Android device — an Android TV, an Android TV box, an Amazon Firestick, or an Android phone or tablet.

Tip: Login details are case-sensitive. Copy them exactly.

Step 1: Install OTT Navigator

On Android TV, a TV Box, Phone or Tablet

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for OTT Navigator IPTV.
  3. Choose Install, then Open.

On Amazon Firestick / Fire TV

Search for OTT Navigator from Find → Search. If it isn't offered in your region, it can be installed with the free Downloader app — contact AbyssTV support and we'll send you the link and the steps.

Step 2: Add AbyssTV as Your Provider

The first time you open OTT Navigator it offers to set up a provider. If you skipped that screen, open Settings (the gear icon), then Provider, then Add provider.

You can connect in two ways. We recommend the first.

Option A: Xtream Login (Recommended)

  1. Choose the Xtream option (some versions call it Xtream Codes or Portal).
  2. In Server / URL, enter the server address from your welcome email, starting with http://.
  3. Enter your username and password.
  4. Give the provider a name, such as AbyssTV, and confirm.

This method loads your channels, the on-demand library and the programme guide together, already sorted into groups.

Option B: M3U Playlist

  1. Choose Playlist (M3U).
  2. Paste the full M3U link from your welcome email.
  3. Name it AbyssTV and confirm.

The app now reads your channel list. With a large line-up the first load can take a minute or two — let it finish.

Step 3: Check the Programme Guide

With the Xtream option, the guide loads by itself. Open any channel list and you should see the current programme under each channel name.

If the guide is empty after a few minutes, open Settings → Provider, select AbyssTV and choose the option to update the guide. Our article on enabling the TV guide explains what to check next.

Step 4: Start Watching

From the main screen, choose TV for live channels, or Movies / Series for the on-demand library.

A few things worth trying in your first session:

  • Favourites: press and hold OK on a channel and add it to favourites, so your regular channels are one click away.
  • Filters: browse channels by category, country or genre instead of scrolling one long list.
  • Catch-up: where a channel offers it, you can go back in the guide and watch a programme that has already aired.

Getting the Best Picture

  • Wired or strong Wi-Fi. For 4K content, 25 Mbps or more keeps things smooth.
  • Leave the player settings on automatic at first. OTT Navigator has many playback options; change one at a time, only if you have a specific problem.
  • Buffer size: if a channel stutters on a slower connection, a slightly larger buffer in the playback settings can help.

Still Stuck? Troubleshooting

  • "Authorisation failed" or the provider won't save: Re-enter the details and check for capital letters and extra spaces. The server address must start with http://.
  • Channels load but nothing plays: Restart the app, then your device. If other apps stream normally, contact us.
  • Some features ask for Premium: OTT Navigator has an optional paid upgrade from its maker. You don't need it to watch AbyssTV — the free version plays all your channels.
  • Buffering: follow our buffering guide.
