Flix IPTV is a modern IPTV player for Smart TVs, Android TV and Amazon Firestick. It has a clean layout with separate sections for live TV, movies and series, supports subtitles and several video players, and is quick to move around with a remote. As with most Smart TV players, you add your playlist from a phone or computer rather than typing on the TV.
This guide covers everything, from installing the app to your first channel. Allow about ten minutes.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- Your AbyssTV M3U link from your welcome email (also shown when you sign in to your AbyssTV account).
- Your TV or streaming device with Flix IPTV installed.
- A phone or computer to add the playlist.
Good to know: Flix IPTV is made by a separate company. It starts with a free trial and then needs a one-time activation, paid to the app's maker for each device. That is separate from your AbyssTV subscription. Prefer an app with no fee of its own? Try IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate.
Step 1: Install Flix IPTV
- Samsung and LG Smart TVs: open your TV's app store, search for Flix IPTV and install it.
- Android TV: search for Flix IPTV in the Google Play Store.
- Amazon Firestick: search from Find → Search. If the app isn't listed in your region, contact AbyssTV support — we'll send you the steps to install it with the Downloader app.
Open the app once it has installed.
Step 2: Find Your MAC Address
Flix IPTV identifies your device by a MAC address.
- In the app's menu on the left, open Settings.
- Choose User account.
- Write down the MAC address shown there — six pairs of letters and numbers.
The same screen tells you whether the app is in its trial period or activated, and shows the address of the app's website.
Step 3: Upload Your AbyssTV Playlist
- On your phone or computer, open the app's website shown in the app and go to the page for adding a playlist (My List).
- Enter your device's MAC address.
- Paste your full AbyssTV M3U link into the URL field.
- Choose Send.
Tip: Paste the link in one go. If it is typed by hand, one wrong character will stop the list loading.
Step 4: Reload the App
- Back on the TV, close Flix IPTV and open it again — or choose Change playlist in the settings and select the list you just added.
- The app loads your channels, movies and series. Give the first load a minute.
Step 5: Start Watching
The home screen has three main sections:
- Live TV — your channels by category, with the programme guide.
- Movies — films on demand, in up to 4K.
- Series — box sets by season and episode.
Select a channel and press OK. Hold OK on a channel to add it to your favourites.
Getting the Best Picture
- Switch video player if a channel misbehaves. In Settings you can change the player the app uses. If you get sound but no picture, or the reverse, this is the first thing to try.
- Subtitles and audio tracks can be changed while a film is playing, from the playback menu.
- A network cable beats Wi-Fi on most TVs, especially for 4K.
Still Stuck? Troubleshooting
- The website doesn't accept the MAC address: Check it against the User account screen character by character.
- "Playlist error" or an empty list: Upload the link again and make sure nothing was cut off.
- A message about activation: That refers to the Flix IPTV app, not your AbyssTV subscription. Activate the app with its maker, or pick another app from our setup guides.
- Buffering or freezing: work through how to fix IPTV buffering.
